Choosing a length. Most of our necklaces are 40 cm, 45 cm, or 50 cm. A 45 cm chain sits just below the collarbone and is the length that suits the widest range of necklines. It is where to start if you are unsure. A 40 cm choker sits close around the base of the neck. A 50 cm chain falls at or just above most necklines and layers well over a shorter one. Every product page lists the exact length, including the clasp, and our size guide shows where each length sits.

Materials. Each piece states its base metal and, where the plating is confirmed, the gold or silver specification. Where we describe something as gold-tone rather than gold-plated, it is because we could not confirm a plating specification, and we would rather say that than imply something we cannot stand behind.
